What is an office productivity competition?
As office suits become richer and richer the skills of power users skyrocket. We have seen people use productivity applications in some amazing ways and we ask you to do the same for this competition.Input and output
For this competition you will have to submit a single OpenDocument Presentation file. It will be judged using OpenOffice.org 3.2, but you can use any tool at hand to create it — Microsoft PowerPoint included. In fact it would be a great victory for the OpenDocument movement to see submissions created with OpenOffice.org-alternatives.To submit a presentation just mail it to submission@ooocomp.org.
Submissions will be periodically evaluated. You can usually expect a reply with the scores you have collected in each task within a week. Aggregated results will also be posted on this blog. To be notified of results and updates to the problem set please use one of the subscription methods offered.
The problem set is described in a PDF document and refers to a number of data files.
- Download the problem set (including the data files).

Some problems that you solve will be scored shortly after submission and scores will be posted here. Based on these scores the top 10 submissions will make it to the finals. These submissions will be presented at OOoCon 2010 and the final tasks will be scored with the help of the audience. For details please see the problem set.The prizes will be announced at the conference but rest assured there will be cake!
